As a consulting firm rather than a software development company, we have the distinct advantage of being able to learn about the way you work so that we can incorporate your unique processes directly into the tools we create. Software development is unfortunately not immune to Baruch's Law: when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
In developing systems for nonprofit, for-profit, governmental, and educational organizations, we have amassed a toolbox of not only development techniques, but also analytical and assessment methods that we will use to find and solve the challenges of developing your solution. And with expertise in other areas such as management and research, we can provide direct input in shaping our solutions rather than just reacting with canned programming. In the vast majority of cases, we are called upon to build web-based tools that streamline an already-established process.
 We employ an iterative development life-cycle that accommodates both the complexity and scope of the project. Thus, we will spend significant time in Discovery – learning about your environment and work processes – and Planning – setting out specific tasks and timelines to accomplish our work. However, the largest portion of time will be spent in Development and Testing – programming the outputs of the design process as actual information management tools. Beyond that, we have defined phases for Deployment, Training and Documentation, and Support. We ensure that our programming observes W3C guidelines and recognized best-practices in programming, navigation, accessibility, and security.
